Marcus Kennett Fishing Charters For the salmon fishing we can fish the protected waters of the gulf islands on the inside of Vancouver island during the winter and Port Renfrew and Swiftsure bank on the west coast of Vancouver island in the summer. The prime season for Chinook or King salmon is from the middle of June till the beginning of September. The Coho or Silvers run from July till the middle of October.
